    great video but in my opinion they would be even better if you could derive the equation and test it with few example values to demostrate the reasoning behind it, instead of just telling the formula and asking students to just plugin the values. That way students could come up with the equation themselves instead of just memorizing.

    Doesn't a filter reflect a significant amount of the color it allows to be transmitted through it? Why does it both reflect and allow for the transmission of the same color through it?

  • @OleanIncorporated
    @OleanIncorporated 14 дней назад

    Hello Mr. H, how is the speed of the transmitted wave at 7:48 greater than the incident and reflected wave even though the wave is entering a less dense material, becuase earlier you said that sound travels fastest in materials with highest density, therefore if in this case the wave is entering a less dense material shouldn't the velocity (speed) be less than earlier???

    Mr. H, how can the force of gravity and the opposite force be the same when the object is moving upwards, shouldn't we overcome gravity to move up, because if net force is zero then how can we be moving?

    • @PhysicsclassroomVideos
      @PhysicsclassroomVideos 19 дней назад

      If an object is in motion and the forces are balanced, then the object continues moving at constant speed. Put another way, a balance of forces doesn't mean the object is not moving. It only means the object is not accelerating.

      Nope. Don't memorize. What you learn is that Weight= mass *g where g is ~10 N/kg on Earth and that weight is another name for force of gravity. Then you take what you learn, read the problem, and answer the question by applying the learning.
